Qualcomm Quick Charge 4 coming 2017: 5-minutes charge for 5-hours battery

Qualcomm (QUALCOMM) officially launched the latest generation of fast charge technology Quick Charge 4, the next generation flagship chip Xiao Long 835 processor will support the use of. Is expected to carry Xiaolong 835 commercial terminal will be shipped in the first half of 2017.

According to reports, Qualcomm Technologies through the parallel charging technology Dual Charge, compared with the previous generation Quick Charge 3.0, the user can enjoy up to 20% of the charge speed increase. As Alex Katouzian, senior vice president of product management at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., said, "Consumers now have an unprecedented demand for and awareness of fast-charge solutions, and Quick Charge 4 can be loaded in about 15 minutes or less Up to 50% battery power, so you will not be a full day by the charging wire tied.

In addition to increasing the charge speed, Quick Charge 4 also achieves shorter charging times and higher efficiency. For typical smartphone users, a five-minute charge will last five hours or more, and users can enjoy up to 30 percent more efficiency than using Quick Charge 3.0. Quick Charge 4 also integrates support for USB Type-C and USB-PD, making the industry's most popular charging solution available for a wide range of cables and adapters.

Qualcomm Technologies exclusive third edition of the best voltage intelligent negotiation power management algorithm. INOV's advanced features include the industry's first technology, real-time thermal management, which optimizes charging by providing the most consistent input and output charging experience by autonomously determining and selecting the optimal level of transmission under established thermal conditions.

Quick Charge 4 also supports advanced security features for adapters and mobile terminals. By deploying protection at multiple levels and throughout the charging process, Quick Charge 4 protects batteries, systems, cables, and connectors while more accurately measuring voltage, current, and temperature. The addition of additional protective layers will help prevent overcharging of the battery and regulate the current during each charge cycle.

With the rapid development of Quick Charge, has 100 balance of the mobile terminal, 300 balance accessories products support, a total of more than 600 million mobile terminals and accessories support Quick Charge technology.

It is worth noting that, Qualcomm Technologies also with Quick Charge 4 introduced the SMB1380 and SMB1381 two latest power management integrated circuit (PMIC). They support high-efficiency, low-impedance fast-charge features, fast charging with a 5V USB Type-C or high-voltage power supply, and support ultra-thin mobile terminals with a combination of less than 0.8mm charging solutions. The SMB1380 / 1 is expected to be available by the end of 2016.
